Not much to report here, sorry I've not been posting more. Im in a real funk at the moment and cant seem to shake it off. I dont know if I'm just overtired, but I've not been feeling 100%, I feel really drained and cravings are back! I'm resisting!!!!! just!!!!!! I just feel really out of my comfort zone, I had a good routine but I feel all out of sync again, a proverbial 'spanner in the works'. I haven't been as regular taking all my vitamins! Shame on me! So starting that up again. Dont know if I've been eating enough either - what calorie counters do you all use? What's the best one?
I'm sure it'll pass soon enough! Chin up........... LOL
Hope everyone else is Ok! xoxo
Hi Sonia, have been reading your blog for awhile now and seriously you are doing amazingly well, you are honestly an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI had the same sort of hard time last week, felt so tired and my weight wouldn't budge! So what I have done is uped my exercise (mainly walking) and the weight has started falling off again. Hang in there hun, you know that it will all be worth it in the end x
Thanks so much! It does help to know that others go through the same kinds of things. Increasing walking sounds like a great idea, its amazing the things you forget!!! It will definitely be worth it xo
DeleteHey I hope you find your groove again, staying the same is frustrating, I have had my fair share of "STS" (stayed the same) but I never measured my body so had no idea if there was actual shrinkage physically. The scales don't always record the full story. You have made awesome progress to date - your next milestone is within reach
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. I'm trying to look for the positives again, I find it so easy to dwell on negatives and that never does anyone any good! I could tell yesterday that I had shrunk a little as I could pull my size 16 trousers off without undoing them, which I couldnt do last week. Time to pull out those size 14's now I think! LOL. xo
DeleteOh sweetie, you can do it! I hate that, when you have a solid routine and then you miss one day and it's all out the window for the next few days or weeks. I really hate that, and it happens all the time to me!
ReplyDeleteGet out of your funk girl, tell yourself you will start over tomorrow and be determined to keep up the good work!
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks DD, I love your straight talking, always makes me smile! Its just so crazy how it happens! I suppose years of bad habits are a difficult thing to conquer..... No-one can feel 100% all the time, its just recognising what is happening and dealing with it, without turning to food, because we all know that there are no answers there!!!! xoxo
DeleteFunky Funky but Chic! You're probably too young to remember that silly song Sonia. Hang in there. I hope you get a good rest in. Try this calculator for figuring out calories:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.cordianet.com/calculator.htm
It is a very reliable way to figure out your maintenance levels of cal. I found that when only eating PP it blunted my appetite so much I was not hardly eating 1000 cal/day...prompting my body to kick into hyper starvation mode. Adding PV to most days and making sure to eat at least 1600cal has helped. Hang tough, you'll get there, just as you've come this far.
XO

Not sure of the song! Who sang it? I know quite alot of golden oldies!!!! LOL.
DeleteThanks for all info Anna, will definitely try out the calculators. You wouldnt think it would be so hard to rack up the calories with proteins.
I was looking at one of your latest posts about body fat % and your aim is 20%, from the reading I've done it said that 25-31% was classed as being healthy for women. This is considerably more than yours! Did you get your info from the Navy calculator? xoxo
PS...I just ran my numbers on that calculator and I should mention that it gives several similar but different formulas. I feel the very best is the Katch-McArdel calculator to the lower left of the screen when you plug in your data...good luck.

ReplyDeleteThis is better Sonia. To figure your body fat % use the Navy calculator you can find here:

Hope that's more helpful

hello! hope you get out of your funk soon! did you crack at all at easter? bet its hard with kids around too!start taking your vitamins and maybe look for a new dukan recipe to spice things up a bit :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Shannon. I'm feeling more like it today, getting there anyway! I think vitamins are definitely key for me, my body really needs them.
DeleteNo cheating at Easter for me, Ami has only just turned 2, so she's not bothered yet. I dont see chocolate in my near future really, I smell some occasionally LOL and it doesnt smell as good as I remember! Same with cakes, bread, in fact they smell quite horrid. But chocolate was such a pitfall for me, I think it maybe wise for me to avoid it.
Looking for new recipes is a good idea! xoxo
I am in a funk, too ... not resisting too well ... down in the dumps and up a kg! BLAH
ReplyDeleteI totally understand Moonday! Losing weight can be so hard at times! I'm sure that we make it hard on ourselves..... WWANGEL did a good post today about finding your motivation. Pick yourself up, dust off and start again, it'll be worth it!!!! YOU ARE DOING GREAT xoxo
